Profile

A career spanning design, colour and materials

I hold a PhD in Textile Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València and am an associate professor in the Department of Graphic Engineering. My research explores how colour science, experimental design and materials characterisation can contribute to more sustainable processes and products.

I work especially with natural dyes, nanoclays, hybrid nanopigments and biopolymers. Collaboration across engineering fields allows me to connect laboratory research, quantitative analysis, design and knowledge transfer to industry.

Working approach

Design the experiment rigorously, understand colour and turn the findings into useful materials and processes.

Research

Four areas connected by experimental design

The research combines colour measurement, statistics and materials science to develop lower-impact solutions.

01

Graphic engineering and design

Engineering graphics, technical representation, technical office and project-based learning linked to professional contexts.

02

Colour science and colorimetry

Colour measurement, characterisation and stability to control appearance and optimise formulations and processes.

03

Nanopigments and sustainable materials

Natural dyes, nanoclays and hybrid materials for textile, polymer and biomaterial applications.

04

Applied statistics and experimental design

Design of experiments, multivariate analysis and optimisation to study materials and solve industrial problems.

Projects and knowledge transfer

Applied research with an industrial connection

Projects, theses and protected results reflect a career focused on dye recovery, hybrid materials and knowledge transfer.
